  1. The online renewal program includes seven online courses; 6 mandated courses (Agency Relationships, Ethics, Trust Fund Handling, Fair Housing, Risk Management, Management and Supervision) and Real Estate Review / Consumer Protection (which is split into 2 halves).

Six Mandated Courses (18 credit hours total)

    1. A CalBRE-mandated 2 day minimum study period is required from the date of purchase before you’re allowed to take the online exams for the 6 mandated courses.
      1. During the 2 day minimum study period, you must log into the Student Portal to review the electronic books (one for each mandated course) and take the 6 assessment quizzes (one for each mandated course), which contain questions in true/false format.
      2. While required, assessment quizzes are not graded (though correct answers are displayed), and can only be taken once.
    2. After the 2 day minimum study period is satisfied, log back into the Student Portal to take the exams for each mandated course.
      1. Each exam contains 15 multiple choice questions that must be completed within 15 minutes.
      2. You have two attempts to pass with a 70% (or higher) score.
      3. There is no minimum study period between exam attempts (after the initial 2 day minimum study period).
      4. Note that while we can provide your exact score, you’re not allowed to see which answers you get wrong.

Real Estate Review / Consumer Protection (30 credit hours total)

    1. Once you pass all 6 mandated courses, there is a 2 day minimum study period before you’re allowed to take the online exam for the 1st half of the Consumer Protection course.
      1. During the 2 day minimum study period, you must log into the Student Portal to review the electronic book (one book for the full Consumer Protection course) and take the assessment quizzes (for the 1st half of Consumer Protection), which contain questions in true/false format.
      2. While required, assessment quizzes are not graded (though correct answers are displayed), and can only be taken once.
    2. After the 2 day minimum study period is satisfied, log back into the Student Portal to take the exam for the 1st half of the Consumer Protection course.
      1. The exam contains 35 multiple choice questions that must be completed within 35 minutes.
      2. You have two attempts to pass with a 70% (or higher) score.
      3. There is no minimum study period between exam attempts (after the initial 2 day minimum study period).
